KENNETH S. LIM
Kenneth is a private law practitioner, an entrepreneur, and an educator. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College of Law in 2004, graduating fourth in his class, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in 1999, graduating first in his class and magna cum laude.
He was admitted to the Philippine bar in 2005. He started his law career in 2005 as an Associate Attorney at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz Law Offices (ACCRALAW), specializing in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation. In 2007, he returned to his hometown in Dipolog City to practice law and help out in their family business.
Kenneth is an incorporator, director and general counsel of their family-owned holding companies and its subsidiaries, which have interests in trading, real estate development and leasing, and hotel operation. He is also engaged in the e-commerce business.
He is a licensed civil engineer, placing first in the May 2000 board examination; a real estate broker, top 9, February 2016 board; and a real estate appraiser, top 8, April 2016 board.
Kenneth completed the 39th Pre-Judicature Program of the Philippine Judicial Academy in 2016 and obtained a Certificate in New Ventures Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018.
He currently teaches law at Andres Bonifacio College. He used to teach law at DMC College Foundation and was appointed as law dean in 2015 until the law school’s closure in late 2017. He has taught Persons and Family Relations, Property, Wills and Succession, Obligations and Contracts, Corporation Law, Civil Law Review, Commercial Law Review, Political Law Review, and Practice Court.
He is a trained arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI) and a member of the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb). He has handled construction arbitration before the Construction Industry Arbitration Commission (CIAC) and represented clients in civil, criminal and administrative cases before various courts, tribunals and agencies.
He is currently the president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Zamboanga del Norte Chapter, having previously served as its Vice President (2015-2017) and Director (2013-2015).
He is also a resource speaker in a number of speaking engagements and has lectured in the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education for lawyers.
